The Chairman Mao Memorial Hall in Beijing will open during both the morning and afternoon on Wednesday, September 9, marking the 50th anniversary of the passing of Mao Zedong, the founder of the People's Republic of China.
According to an announcement released Sunday (September 6) on the memorial hall’s official WeChat account, the site will welcome visitors from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on the anniversary date.
The extended schedule follows a prolonged closure earlier this year. The facility suspended public entry from March 16 to August 31 for internal maintenance and renovation work, officially resuming operations on September 1.
